Vietnam’s seafood exports to China have recorded strong growth, of which, about 50% are exported through the Mong Cai border gate.
This was highlighted at a Conference to promote the trade of agricultural and aquatic products between Vietnam and China held by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Currently, shrimp is the commodity that accounts for the largest proportion of exports, at 40-50%, followed by pangasius and other aquatic products. In the first 2 months of the year, seafood exports to China faced difficulties due to a decrease in orders, inflation, and high raw material prices.
However, demand is expected to surge from the second quarter onwards. There is still a lot of room for growth in China, particularly in Guangxi province.
At the Conference, associations and businesses also proposed that Chinese authorities speed up the processing and approval of registration documents on the one-stop trading system of the General Department of Customs of China, creating favorable conditions for enterprises to export goods officially to China.
Currently, China has recognized a list of 48 live aquatic species, 128 types of aquatic products, and 805 Vietnamese enterprises allowed for export to this market.
Xuất khẩu thủy sản Việt Nam sang Trung Quốc tăng trưởng mạnh nhất trong các thị trường chính, trong đó, khoảng 50% là thông qua cửa khẩu Móng Cái.
Điều này được nhấn mạnh tại Hội nghị quảng bá thương mại sản phẩm nông, lâm, thủy sản giữa Việt Nam và Trung Quốc do Bộ Nông nghiệp và Phát triển Nông thôn tổ chức.
Hiện nay, tôm là mặt hàng chiếm tỷ lệ lớn nhất trong những mặt hàng xuất khẩu, ở mức 40-50%, tiếp đến là cá tra và các sản phẩm thủy sản khác. Trong 2 tháng đầu năm, xuất khẩu thủy sản sang Trung Quốc gặp khó khăn do giảm đơn đặt hàng, lạm phát và giá nguyên liệu cao.
Tuy nhiên, dự kiến nhu cầu sẽ tăng mạnh từ quý 2 trở đi. Vẫn còn rất nhiều tiềm năng phát triển tại Trung Quốc, đặc biệt là tại tỉnh Quảng Tây.
Tại Hội nghị, các hiệp hội và doanh nghiệp cũng đề xuất chính quyền Trung Quốc đẩy nhanh quá trình xử lý và phê duyệt các tài liệu đăng ký trên hệ thống giao dịch một cửa của Tổng cục Hải quan Trung Quốc, tạo điều kiện thuận lợi cho các doanh nghiệp xuất khẩu hàng hóa chính thức sang Trung Quốc.
Hiện nay, Trung Quốc đã công nhận danh sách 48 loài thủy sản sống, 128 loại sản phẩm thủy sản và 805 doanh nghiệp Việt Nam được phép xuất khẩu sang thị trường này.
